Logo Collection

Logo Collection

A mix of recent works, along with some produced during my time at AB Design Group. A logo is one of the key elements in marketing a successful brand; the design process often extends into a full design guideline manual. The responsibility in designing a good logo must take into account the practicalities and cost implications across all platforms of implementation, from corporate uniform to web and from livery to print production.

AB (pencil) logo

This logo for AB Design Group, Exeter, features the initials of the two founding partners: Astbury and Bowen. Although the solution may appear an obvious one, it took me quite some time to arrive at the shape and concept of the pencil icon.

Name and logo created for a new helicopter company. The 360 image represents the three 60-year-old partners, combined with the 360 degree rotation of helicopter blades. Clients can feel more in control if they have a choice of logo but, more often than not, they choose the first idea you originally came up with.

Dawlish Community College – I  was commissioned by the college to design ‘house’ logos (immediately above) based on the four elements. They were applied to enamel badges, the website and a variety of in-house documents.

Rock the boat

A Band-on-Ship is a tongue-in-cheek name and logo devised for a band that performed a one-off performance on an Exe estuary cruise boat... with a captive audience.
